In full page printing, most enterprises adopted die-cutting production. In order to ensure the printing quality, it is necessary to increase a certain area around the circumference of the original carton (such as 20mm) to ensure that the carton will not have printing blank. An increase of 20mm is the cutting loss of the whole page, which will increase the area of the cardboard. For example, if 100000 cartons are to be produced, the length of the carton is 100,000 * 0.002 m = 20 m and the width is 20 m. If 100,000 boxes are made, the additional 20m * 20 = 4000 m2, the calculation is based on USD 0.43 / m2, and USD 1,715 will be wasted. It's not cost-effective. Why die-cutting production is adopted? Because there is no way to ensure that there will be no unprinted patches on the printed edge cardboard. In terms of production, the process and personnel investment increase, but efficiency decreases, the cost of die-cutting production and the size of die-cutting trimming increased, the overall cost is higher than 5%.
But actually, if we use a different way, that is to increase the amount of ink, then the die-cutting production will pass, which is the effect of getting twice the result with half the effort!
Here is a simple analysis of how to ensure that there is no printing blank:
1. For ink (Ink Filter, Ink Purifier, Ink Cleaner)
We must ensure the quality of ink, which is a key point. The color concentration of red ink must be kept high, that is, high concentration and low viscosity. If the concentration is not high enough, the probability of empty printing is very high. To avoid this situation, the printing pressure must be increased, but increasing the printing pressure will lead to the breakage of the paperboard.
2. For pressure
Before production, measure the thickness of the paperboard and adjust the gap between the paper feeding roller and the front baffle according to the actual thickness of the paperboard. The gap of the paper feeding roller is very important. It must not be too heavy. If the pressure is too high, the paperboard will be crushed, and any subsequent pressure must be increased. At the same time, the edge of the paperboard is also easy to turn up, resulting in printing blank, so it is very important to adjust the feeding gap.
3. For cardboard
In order to ensure that the edge of the corrugated board is flat, the edge shall not be warped. If warped, the direction of the paper shall be considered and reverse printing is not allowed. Otherwise, there will be printing blank at the edge of the corrugated cardboard.
4. For printing plate (Hanging Frame, Hanging Rack)
Printing plate needs to be improved. First, the printing plate hardness should be controlled at 34 degrees. If the printing plate hardness is too high, the ability of printing plate to transfer ink will be weakened, which will inevitably lead to printing plate blank. Secondly, use adhesive tape to stick to the upper and lower flip edges of the carton on the back of the printing plate to increase the printing pressure of the cardboard edge. Though not all full page printing can achieve non trimming and die cutting, some products can realize non trimming production through production process improvement, so as to reduce production loss and improve production capacity.
